Education is certainly one of the most powerful weapons a person can poses. Knowledge is the most valuable and the most underrated thing that exists in this world. If only people spent their time wisely, investing it in education, our society would look immensely different. Prosperity, sincerity, welfare, happiness all hide behind education’s shadow.
I wonder why people neglect themselves so much. On the outside they wear the most expensive clothes, they bathe in the most popular perfumes, and they put their precious time and money into looking so perfectly perfect.
But what happens with their inside? What happens as soon as they start talking?
Their words are not valuable; they are meaningless, ridicule, senseless. What’s inside their brains reeks so much of rotten ignorance that no perfume can hide it. Words are the ones that create feelings, smells, good looks and touches; not people’s appearances. Words have the power to create this massive web of love, respect, satisfaction. They are the ones that make us evolve, they are the ones that establish firm political systems and society’s progress. The words that come out of peoples’ mouths so easily are the ones that could change the world. Because words are a direct reflection of our thoughts and opinions. They show the way our brain works, the way we see the world connected.
But today, everyone’s’ words seem pointless, half-witted, said without purpose; they not meant to address any current issue. Why do people ruin themselves with such ease and delight? Why do they think cheating on tests, not learning, not being thirsty for knowledge, is good? Education is the only thing that can open our eyes well enough to see how the world works. Education is the only weapon against destruction, poverty, sadness, hunger... Education provides us with a clear perspective on life. It gives us hope, opportunity and progress.
